The bachelor‘s thesis deals with what today’s modern era of technology in construction management looks like. The thesis goes on to deal with some basic concepts, the main tasks of management, the ethics of managers and the handling and management of change. The work expands into a discussion on coaching. Specifically the practice of coaching, what coaching is as a concept, and the application of coaching when working with people. Finally, the dialogue moves onto present the basic tools available to managers, as well as the effective application of those tools. The end of this thesis is devoted to practical verification using a questionnaire, and concludes with his evaluation.
Requirements for manager in the construction engineering

This diploma thesis is focused to requirements for manager in the construction engineering. The theoretical part briefly describes the management and its role in the construction. After that, the work devotes itself to the requirements, functions and techniques of construction manager. The empirical part is looking into the establishment of hypotheses which were either confirmed or disproved in a questionnaire research, concentrated on construction companies and senior students in the field of Management building at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. One of the empirical part is analysis of jobs as a manager in the construction industry. This research is enriched by guided interviews, which is followed by conclusions and subsequent recommendations for both civil society, students and also for the faculty.

This diploma thesis solve problematic of personnel costs in a construction industry. In theoretical part is described construction industry as a field, defined bussiness costs and personnel costs. Practical part is analyzing personnel costs in a construction industry by questionnaire survey and controlled interviews with representatives of enterprises. The research findings are summarised in conclusion and recommendations for construction companies in the area of personnel costs are proposed.

Diploma thesis deals with an evaluation of indirect costs as a competitive factor in the construction industry. Notions like construction market, construction company, costs, their structuring and the way of their calculation, then competition, competitive advantage and competitiveness are theoretically defined in the first part of the thesis. The second part of the thesis deals with an evaluation of the questionnaire survey and the guided interviews. The questionnaire survey results and the results of guided interviews are compared and subsequently, recommendations are determined at the end of the thesis.
Influence of Grant on Construction in the Czech Republic

The aim of the work is to chart grant used for the construction sector and subsequently analyze the impact of the subsidies on the development of the construction output in the Czech Republic. In the first part is defined by the distribution of construction output and describes the development of the construction industry, subsequently described subsidies used in the Czech Republic. The second part is divided into two sections, the first on is dedicated to the processed questionnaire and its output. The second section is analytical. The questionnaire is focused on the use of subsidies in the Czech Republic. The analytical part is focused on creating an evolution of subsidies on construction aktivity for a certain period.

Risk in Costruction Industry: The Management and Financial Impact

The present dissertation studies financial impacts of risks in the construction industry, providing one of possible ways of the risks expression and monitoring, through which they can be efficiently managed. Theoretical assumptions and selected methodology provided basis for an overall analysis of the Czech Republic construction market, identifying possible external risks sources including their processing and description. The present dissertation aims at finding major risks and assessing their financial impacts that pose threats to companies active in the construction sector, indeed a specific sector for doing business. These risks have been compiled in a Risk Catalogue intended as a guide for selected risks management. To elaborate on the risks identified, two specific companies have were selected, having provided their data (financial reports, accounts statements, number of projects contracted including their volume and type, personnel information, etc.), as well as key indicators they have been using. The dissertation outcome presents construction sector analysis and Risk Register compilation. The work clearly defines the procedure of the Register compilation, possibly to be used by construction companies with respect to recurrent activities and the risks involved. The Catalogue sorts risks in categories and defines their possible occurrence as well as their financial impact on the company. Furthermore, it presents their possible management, i.e. how they can be minimized or even eliminated, as well as necessary costs involved. Indeed, the costs have to be considered in the sense of financial impacts so that it does not result in covering risks with rather low financial impact.

The assignment is geographically defined on Leningrad region with focus on the urban center St. Petersburg and with branch specified on construction industry. On basis of analyzed facts in the field of accounting standards, taxation and law environment this assignment contains the recommendations in which way and with help of which procedures enter the market.
